HISTORY 

Founded in  2019, Mtho's Woodworks has thrived, despite minor setbacks generally faced by growing SMEs . The Founder attributes the defensiveness of his business to his loyal customer base, which he has maintained relationships with over the years.

Originally from the Eastern Cape, the Founder relocated to Cape Town in the early 2000s. His exposure to construction, prior to establishing the business, helped him garner experience across various home services  - however woodwork has remains his passion.

Stemming from the lush region of Centane, Eastern Cape, the Founder grew up next to the Great Kei River where general work and craftsmanship were skills utilised, not for monetary purposes but, for day-to-day living. It is during these times that he honed his woodwork skills - subsequently moving to Cape Town years later. To the founder, building is a way of life.

Mtho Woodworks' founder is an avid believer in giving back to the community in any way possible. The business offers opportunities to young individuals who aspire to follow a path in woodwork but do not have the resources.
